The Portuguese Orchid Association (APO) invites you to the 9th International Orchid Exhibition in Lisbon, taking place at Mercado de Santa Clara from November 28 to 30. This year's event promises a stunning display of over 90,000 orchid species from around the world, including rare varieties from Brazil and Africa.
Visitors can expect a sensory experience, with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the beautiful aroma of the orchids. The exhibition will run from 10h to 19h daily, offering a chance to learn about the cultivation and uses of these fascinating plants through lectures by APO experts.
In addition to the orchids, the event will showcase other exotic and rare plants such as bonsais, tillandsias, bromeliads, cats, and succulents. A panel of judges will award prizes to the most impressive specimens, following the 'Ribbon Judging - Best In Show' model.
Derived products like liqueurs, chocolates, and jewelry will be available for purchase, providing a unique shopping experience alongside the plants.
Tickets for the exhibition cost 5€ per person, with free entry for APO members and children under 12. The event is a must-visit for plant enthusiasts, offering a rare chance to see and learn about some of the world's most beautiful and exotic flora.
