9th October - Community Outreach - Establishing a Structured Neighborhood

On the 9th of October, 2025, the parish hall of St. Laurentius in Hohenthann will play host to an informative event titled 'Wir sind Nachbarn' (Because We're Neighbors). This event, aimed at those interested in establishing community help in their communities, is being organised by Elisabeth Strasser, the Senior Citizens' Representative of the County of Landshut, who is responsible for the registration of the event.

The event will run from 14:00 to 16:30 and attendees will have the opportunity to engage in informative discussions with members of the community help groups from Binatal, Ergolding, Furth, Geisenhausen, Neufahrn, and Velden. These groups will be sharing their experiences and insights into the practicalities of community help.

Doris Rudolf from the 'Living in Old Age' coordination office will give a presentation on the basic tasks and organization of community help. She will be joined by Ulrike Huettl from the Senior Citizens' Council Rottenburg and Stephanie Moeller from the community help ANNA Altdorf, who will share insights into two successful practical examples of community help.

State funding for such projects will be discussed during the presentation, offering valuable information for those considering establishing community help in their communities.

Elisabeth Strasser can be contacted via email at [email protected] or by phone at 0871 4082116 for registration enquiries. The registration deadline for the event is 29th September 2025.

The district authority and municipality of Hohenthann are delighted to be hosting this event, which promises to be a valuable resource for those seeking to strengthen their communities through community help.
