The Salzmann building, a historical structure in Düsseldorf, has secured its future for the long term. Dr. Volker Wiegel, COO of LEG Immobilien AG, confirmed that a satisfactory and pragmatic solution has been found with the city, ensuring the continuation of the building's current usage concept until the end of 2063.
The Salzmann building, originally the headquarters of the paper manufacturer Jagenberg, designed by architect Heinrich Salzmann, was declared a historical monument in 1984. After a renovation in 1994, the building complex now houses 85 social and student apartments, 36 residential and artist studios, and office spaces for non-profit organizations.
