Ander Art Festival Returns to Munich's Odeonsplatz with Zero-Waste Focus and Mayor's Patronage

The Ander Art Festival, a Munich staple since 1997, returns to Odeonsplatz on the last Friday of September, coinciding with the second Oktoberfest Friday. This year's event is patronised by Munich's Mayor Dieter Reiter and organised by the Cultural Referate, Migration Council, and Office for Intercultural Affairs. It's set to be a zero-waste affair with mobile induction loops ensuring accessibility for all.

The festival, held annually at Odeonsplatz, brings together international food stalls operated by the Community Kitchen. This organisation uses rescued food, reducing waste and promoting sustainability. Accessibility is a priority, with mobile induction loops available for people with hearing impairments. The event's organisers, including the Cultural Referate, Migration Council, and Office for Intercultural Affairs, collaborate to create a diverse and inclusive atmosphere. Despite searches, no mecenatian (patron-like) protection was found for the festival this year.

The Ander Art Festival, with its commitment to zero-waste practices, accessibility, and community engagement, promises to be an exciting and inclusive event. Under the patronage of Munich's Mayor Dieter Reiter, it continues its annual tradition at Odeonsplatz, bringing together art, culture, and sustainability on the second Oktoberfest Friday.
