Sheridan County Library System to Host Coat of Arms Design Activity at CHAPS Tournament of Knights

The Sheridan County Library System is set to participate in the upcoming CHAPS Tournament of Knights, a one-day medieval festival taking place on July 26. This event, which features the Knights of Valor, aims to benefit CHAPS Equine Assisted Services and returns to Sheridan this month.

As part of their involvement, the library system will offer a coat of arms design activity for children and their guardians. This activity is scheduled to take place at the Wyoming Room on Aug. 6, from 10 a.m. to noon. Alongside this, another small craft will be available on the same day for families to add to their coat of arms collection. According to the library, this additional craft should only take ten minutes to complete.

The handmade crafts, including those created during the Tournament of Knights, will be available for sale at the event. The proceeds from these sales will go towards supporting the library's various programs.

The library system's involvement in the medieval-themed festival suggests that they aim to fuel imagination and offer handmade crafts. Cassie Stone, the Community Engagement Manager, and Zola Shockley, the Youth Services Manager, of the Sheridan County Library System recently appeared on Public Pulse to discuss these activities.

It's worth noting that the coat of arms design activity is part of a larger crafting program held throughout Sheridan by the library system. This program aims to support the library's various programs and is open to all.

For those interested in these crafting events or for more specific details about the coat of arms design activities, it would be best to contact the Sheridan County Library System directly or check their official announcements.
