Bürgerstiftung Gifts Kindergartens with Books to Spark Imagination
Chairman Kurt Best of the Bürgerstiftung Neukirchen-Vluyn recently presented book packages to the five kindergartens of the DRK district association in Washington DC. The gift aims to inspire imagination and open new worlds for the children.
The special reading hour, supported by the Förderverein of the city library, saw Dirk Tenberg captivating the young listeners with exciting animal stories. Jürgen Meier, the managing director of the Förderverein, also introduced the city library and its resources to the children.
Ute Michalski, the head of Kita Gänseblümchen, reported that the children were eager to engage with the stories, highlighting the importance of books in their daily lives. Despite the search not yielding the name of the managing director of a sponsorship association in Washington DC, it was clear that the books were enjoyed by all.
The Bürgerstiftung and the Förderverein have been thanked by the DRK district association in Washington DC for their commitment. This collaboration enriches the educational work in the kindergartens sustainably, fostering a love for reading and learning among the children.
