Caritas St. Josef's Autumn Festival Delights with Music, Dance, and Reflection
The Caritas Nursing Home St. Josef hosted a delightful autumn festival this year. The event, organized by Ms. Ulrike Klingelhofer and her team, was attended by residents, relatives, and staff. It began promptly at 2:30 PM with a warm welcome by Mr. Sebastian Etzel and Mrs. Briesemeister.
The afternoon was filled with a variety of engaging activities. Pastor Anke Heil and Rev. Dr. Meins G.S. Coetsier led a profound ecumenical reflection, setting a contemplative tone for the event. Musical entertainment was provided by Tessa Jakobs and the band 'Divine Concern' with their project 'Elvis in the Nursing Home', bringing a touch of nostalgia to the festival. The seated dance group of the house also performed, demonstrating that movement brings joy at any age.
The International Gideon Society contributed to the festive atmosphere by gifting contemplative texts for encouragement during the darker season. The festival concluded on a heartfelt note with a thank you by Mr. Etzel around 4:45 PM.
