Sparkasse Bremen Celebrates 200th Anniversary with a Festive Long Afternoon
On July 11th, 2023, Sparkasse Bremen celebrated two centuries of service with a lively and engaging event known as the Long Afternoon. The celebration took place across the city, including at the Sparkasse branch on Ostertorsteinweg, and was filled with various activities for both children and adults.
Visitors were treated to a variety of entertainment, such as music played inside the Sparkasse premises, a DJ providing musical accompaniment, and a cotton candy machine and balloon artist adding to the festive atmosphere. Tacos, snacks, and drinks were also available for those looking to refuel during the celebration.
In addition to the fun activities, the Long Afternoon offered a unique opportunity for visitors to get a behind-the-scenes look at the Sparkasse and network with others. Sonja Kastin, CEO of Sparkasse Bremen, was present at various branches across the city, including Ostertorsteinweg, meeting and greeting attendees.
The Long Afternoon started at 2 pm due to the warm weather and the nearby Breminale, creating a lively and energetic atmosphere. Many passers-by took advantage of the offers during the event, and some adult visitors even left the branch office wearing a colourful balloon bracelet, created by the balloon artist who was decorating the entrance of the Sparkasse at Ostertorsteinweg.
As part of the Long Afternoon, the Sparkasse branches remained open until 6 pm to accommodate the influx of visitors. Sonja Kastin invited everyone to join the Sparkasse Bremen's birthday celebration as a big thank you for the continued support over the past 200 years.
