In the picturesque town of Gaggenau, twelve children and young people have been immersed in a five-day paper sculpture workshop at Schloss Rotenfels' Schloss Rotenfels. The workshop, led by course leader and artist Ro Beiter, has seen participants creating life-sized, vibrantly colored paper sculptures of animals, transforming the park into a magical garden.

The theme of the workshop, "Cats & Dogs", has allowed the children to unleash their creativity, with figures of felines and canines adorned with spots, stripes, or painted bristles. Some participants, like fifteen-year-old Leon, may be less confident in their painting abilities but have still embraced the opportunity to participate in this unique event.

The workshop is supported by the Sparkasse Baden-Baden Gaggenau, and the finished sculptures are displayed throughout the park for all to see. Cardboard boxes and leporellos, along with life-sized paper sculptures of cats, dogs, flowers, pictures, cardboard boxes, and leporellos, populate the park, creating a whimsical and enchanting atmosphere.

The initial stage of the workshop involves painting the four-legged animals with brushes and paint. The children bring shoeboxes to construct their sculptures, adding a personal touch to their creations. The finissage, marking the end of the five-day summer fun event in Gaggenau, includes drawn and painted pictures in the garden display, providing a final, colourful flourish to the magical garden.

While there is no direct information on a children's paper sculpture workshop at Schloss Rotenfels, it is known that the venue is active as a venue for artistic workshops and events. The available data shows that Schloss Rotenfels has hosted various children’s programs, focusing on creative development and teamwork, but no specific mention of paper sculpture at Schloss Rotenfels has been documented up to August 2025.

Despite the lack of concrete information, this paper sculpture workshop has provided a wonderful opportunity for children to explore their artistic talents and create something truly unique and magical. The park of Schloss Rotenfels will continue to sparkle with life-sized paper sculptures, offering a delightful experience for visitors until the sculptures are taken down.
