Commemorating and Indulging in the Jubilee Season: A Festive Late Summer Celebration
Get ready for a weekend of fun and festivities as the 3rd Ilsede Late Summer Cultural and Community Festival kicks off on Saturday, August 23rd. The event will take place in front of the town hall, starting at 6:30 PM, where DJ Schoppe will set the tone for the evening's entertainment.
On Saturday, the festivities will continue with a programme featuring clubs and groups from the municipality, starting at 1:30 PM. The Blue Light Mile, the Culture Mile, and the Children's Mile will open for exploration at 1 PM. The Blue Light Mile will showcase the fire department, police, ASB, the VGH fire protection mobile, and a competition among youth fire departments.
The Culture Mile, designed by the WOW! Club and local heritage and cultural associations, promises a rich array of activities. The Children's Mile, on the other hand, will feature the Peiner GaLaBau climbing tower, the Gemeindewerke Peiner Land Aqua Roll, and activities from the Ilsede vacation program and the Badehaus youth center.
Admission to the Saturday concert is free, and food and drinks will be available at the Gastro Mile during both event days. For those who wish to start their Sunday on a relaxing note, a seat at the Sunday breakfast can be purchased in advance for €14.90. The Landfrauencafe in the town hall park will be open from 2 PM, offering homemade cakes and pastries. Take-away sales from the Landfrauencafe will start at 3:30 PM.
Sunday's events will commence with an ecumenical service at 10 AM in the town hall park. Following the service, a breakfast with music, comedy, and good spirits will take place. At 5:30 PM, a fundraiser auction will take place, with Mayor Neuhaeuser acting as the auctioneer.
For those arriving by bike, bicycle parking is available at the health center. On Saturday, visitors can explore lifestyle exhibits along the Culture Mile, featuring activities by local associations. After the evening entertainment, unwind at home-and-garden events on Sunday, such as the Landfrauencafe offering homemade pastries from 2 PM.
