"Competition persists in Yakutsk": A reference to ongoing rivalries or contests in Yakutsk.
Yakutsk, the largest city in Siberia and the capital of the Sakha Republic, is inviting residents and photographers to participate in the city photo contest "Yakutsk Inspires." Organised by the Yakutsk City Administration and NVK "Sakha", the contest aims to foster a positive image of Yakutsk, promote its historical and cultural heritage, and reflect the social and cultural life of the city through photography.
Participants can submit their works in five categories: "Yakutsk Historical," "City Life," "People of the City," "City Landscapes," and "Creative Photo Series." In the "Creative Photo Series" category, participants can submit 5-10 photographs united by the common theme "My Yakutsk" with an original and creative approach to photography.
In the "Yakutsk Historical" category, participants can submit historical photographs, archival photos of the city environment and residents in the 19th-20th centuries. The "City Life" category welcomes photographs of mass events, scenes from the daily life of citizens, and genre photographs. In the "City Landscapes" category, participants can submit landmarks (architectural monuments), recognizable locations, and favourite places of residents. Lastly, in the "People of the City" category, participants can submit individual and group photographs (portraits) of Yakutsk residents.
All participants, aged 14 and above, can submit only one work per category. The deadline for sending applications and photographs for the "Yakutsk Inspires" photo contest is September 5. For more information about the contest rules, please refer to the provided rules.
The authors of the best works will be awarded with diplomas and valuable prizes, and all participants will receive certificates. The best works will be published on the website of the Yakutsk City Administration (yakutskcity.ru), the informational portal "Yakutia 24" (yk24.ru), and other mass media.
