Construction Begins on 42,330 sqm Sustainable Logistics Facility in Euskirchen
Construction has begun on a large-scale logistics and production facility in Euskirchen, Germany. The project, led by Complemus Real Estate, will see the development of a 42,330 square meter site into sustainable halls, set for completion in summer 2026. The Dutch flower company, MM Flowers Europe, has already secured a long-term lease for a significant portion of the space, marking its entry into the German market.
The halls, which will be equipped with green facades and energy-efficient heat pumps, are being built to achieve a gold rating from the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB). MM Flowers Europe will occupy approximately 13,000 square meters, with an option to extend the lease for another five years. The company plans to employ between 330 and 600 people at the Euskirchen location.
The site will also feature e-charging infrastructure and a photovoltaic system with a capacity of around 1.8 megawatts peak. Currently, a tenant is being sought for the remaining vacant halls, with no information available about the current tenant.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the project was held in early September, attended by Mayor Sacha Reichelt, Complemus representatives, and MM Flowers Europe. Upon completion, the facility is expected to significantly contribute to the local economy and support MM Flowers Europe's expansion into the German market.
