Cultivating Consequences: Primary School in Neustadt Bay Nurtures School Garden

Vibe with Neustadt in Holstein's Kitchen Garden Extravaganza!

The clever kiddos from Neustadt Bucht Primary School are taking charge and getting their hands dirty in the "Kitchen Garden on Tour" project, which is like a green thumb revolution! With the mighty support of Ostholstein Sparkassen Foundation, Gollan Company, and education-rockstars, Bildungsspaß Holstein, these mini-gardeners have been putting in some serious effort the past few weeks.

The schoolyard's raised beds, a tad run-down, were given some TLC by those young green thumbs. With their teamwork, the once dilapidated beds were brought back from the brink. Gollan Company kicked in with a hefty pile of fresh soil, and Ostholstein Sparkassen Foundation donated pre-grown plants and seeds to help the students flourish.

The little gardeners planted an assortment of herbs, radishes, lettuce, and other goodies, and now they're lovingly caring for them. Now that the plants are looking fresh and thriving, it's only a matter of time until a tasty feast erupts!

Typical projects like these aim to teach students about eco-friendly gardening, nurture healthy eating habits, and foster a connection within the community. You know, activities like hands-on educational workshops, collaboration with community partners, and lessons about the significance of fresh produce in our diets. Lucky for these little growers, they've got the perfect blend of hard work, support, and knowledge to make their garden dreams a reality!

Neustadt Bucht Primary School's kitchen garden revival, partly funded by Ostholstein Sparkassen Foundation and Gollan Company, encourages a lifestyle centered around home-and-garden activities, such as gardening. The students are passionately tending the newly renovated raised beds, filled with various edible plants, as part of their eco-friendly and health-conscious education.
