Duisburg's TEN SING presents "Battle of the Emotions": 40 youth perform live on stage in Meiderich.

Preparations for the upcoming TEN SING Duisburg show, featuring almost forty young performers, are in high gear. Final details are being finalized, and tickets for the two May performances are still available.

The upcoming production, titled "Battle of Emotions - now in 4D," will unfold on Friday, May 30, at 7 PM at the Evangelical Community Center Meiderich, Auf dem Damm 6. A second performance will take place the next day, Saturday, May 31, at the same time and location. Extensive preparations have gone into producing this spectacle.

Participants, aged between 13 and 24, have carefully chosen the show's theme and have been diligently rehearsing. Various tools, such as stage platforms, dance shoes, drums, music stands, and soldering irons, are used in the rehearsals. The performers have been working tirelessly on choir parts, solos, band arrangements, scripted dialogues, choreographed dances, technical equipment testing for stage compatibility, designing posters and logos, and more.

For further information about the performance or to reserve tickets, interested individuals can contact Dirk Strerath, community educator at the Joint Pastoral Office at (0203) 437988 or via email at [email protected]. Tickets can be purchased in advance for €8, or for €9 at the box office. Reduced prices are available at €7.

TEN SING represents a contemporary approach to church youth work, focusing on community, shared experiences, enjoyment, and faith in Jesus Christ. The concept originated in Norway during the 1960s and has since gained popularity in Germany, where approximately 130 groups are active, attracting around 5,000 participants. The program offers a platform for young people to engage in creative performances and express their Christian faith within a supportive community.

The TEN SING Duisburg production, "Battle of Emotions - now in 4D," promises an engaging lifestyle experience. To complement the performance, preparations include detailed home-and-garden arrangements for the Evangelical Community Center Meiderich, including choir parts, dance routines, and even poster and logo designs.
