Between August 1st and 4th, the Christophorus-Schützenbruderschaft Dorthausen is hosting a revelry of folk and homeland festivities at the ball sports field on Christophorusstraße. The festivities range from the senior's gathering to the Klompenball and feature an engaging lineup of events.

Get ready for a weekend filled with tradition and camaraderie as the St. Vitus Shooting Brotherhood Grefrath-Oedt hosts a series of events from August 1 to 4. Here's a sneak peek at what you can expect:

On Saturday, the marksmen will take over in Dorthausen, and the new marksmen king, Marcus Engelmann, will lead the marksmen, accompanied by Heike, Minister Ulf Bimm, Andrea, and Minister Michael Dols, accompanied by Alexandra. A pre-parade will take place at the campsite, leading up to the grand event.

On Saturday evening, the opening ball in the festival tent will occur from 7 pm, with lively music by the party band Roland Brüggen. Later in the night, DJ Dirk Heinrich will entertain his audience in the festival tent as part of the "party alarm" at 7:30 pm.

On Sunday, the day begins with a holy mass for the living and deceased of the home district at the wayside cross at 10 am. The parade for the St. Vitus Shooting Brotherhood Grefrath-Oedt, along with several other shooting brotherhoods, will occur near the wayside cross at an unspecified time. Following the parade, a pleasant brunch with honors will take place in the festival tent. In the evening, the king's ball with music by the party band Roland Brüggen will take place at 7:30 pm.

On Monday, the day begins with the king's birdshot occurring around 2 pm near the festival tent. The wooden shoe parade will take place at 12 pm, and the wooden shoe ball in the festival tent will follow, accompanied by DJ Dirk Heinrich. The afternoon concludes with a bivouac in the festival tent.

The events of the brotherhood take place with free admission, and wreath-laying ceremonies will occur at 4:45 pm (Chapel Kothausen) and 5:30 pm (Chapel Dorthausen) on Saturday. The king's maypoles will be set up at the campsite around 3:15 pm on Saturday, and the "Great Tattoo" will take place at the wayside cross (Christophorusstraße) at 6 pm on Saturday.
