Event tickets for the small gathering in Ludwigslust are now available
The 30th Anniversary of the Little Festival in the Big Park
Get ready for a magical weekend as the Little Festival in the Big Park returns to Ludwigslust Castle Park, celebrating its 30th anniversary. The festival will take place on the 2nd and 3rd of August, with the official opening on Saturday at 6 PM, and the program starting on Sunday at 3 PM.
This year's event promises a diverse range of performances and artists from around the globe. Tickets for the festival are available for just six euros for children aged four to twelve, and can be purchased online on the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festivals website or at the box office. For those living in Ludwigslust, tickets can also be purchased in advance at Ludwigslust Information, located at Schlossstraße 41.
The program includes comedy, acrobatics, magic shows, and puppet performances on both days. Intriguingly, several TikTok posts from July 2025 hint at a story or theme involving "Grandmother Turtle and her grandchildren" discovering the Ludwigslust Castle park during a small festival. While the exact artists participating in this year's event are not named in the available sources, the contemporary art scene at the festival is said to include needle-felting artist Jo Hobbs from the UK.
As for the tickets, approximately 86% of the tickets available at Ludwigslust Information have been sold. The box office will open on Saturday at 4 PM and on Sunday at 1 PM. A program booklet with different artists and venues in the castle park is available online and can also be purchased on the event day.
The festival will conclude with a fireworks display, the decision about which will be made at short notice based on the weather conditions. So, mark your calendars and join us for a weekend of fun, laughter, and art at the Little Festival in the Big Park!
For more information about the artists participating in this milestone event, we recommend checking the official Ludwigslust Castle or event organizer’s website or contacting them directly, as public listings and detailed lineups are not included in the available sources.
