Experience the beauty of nature in Leutesdorfer vineyard
On August 24, 2024, the Neuwied District will play host to a celebration of local produce and regional flavours at the Naturgenuss Landsommer event. Taking place at Weingut Hohn in Leutesdorf, this exciting event promises a day filled with delicious discoveries, live music, and the opportunity to meet local producers.
Landrat Achim Hallerbach has extended a warm invitation to visitors, encouraging them to immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of flavours that the Westerwald region has to offer. The event will run from 13:00 to 20:00, and parking is available nearby for attendees.
The heart of the event will be the opportunity to get to know, taste, and shop local products. Four winemakers of the Naturgenuss regional initiative - Weingut Peter Hohn, Weingut Martin Sturm, Weingut Hans Mehren, and Weingut Gotthard Emmerich - will join with a characteristic selection of their products. Guests can enjoy regional products and Mittelrhein wines from these winemakers, as well as sample cheese, try bio sausage products, and have wine poured for them by the winemakers themselves.
Biohof Seegers from Kaffroth will present their sausage and ham products, as well as other farm products, while Westerwald Beerenland from Hartenfels will offer tasty discoveries in berry fruits. Hof Ronig in Dattenberg will provide fresh bread for the occasion. For those with a taste for bio-care products, Westerwald Kosmetik will be present with their regionally inspired series.
For those with a sweet tooth, there will be spaces for tasting and lingering throughout the event. The organization "NaturGenuss" will participate in the event, and Brennerei Wasl from Neuwied will present their fine distillates. Live musical accompaniment will be provided by guitarist Klaus Maurer.
