Extension of "Level Up: Writers & Gamers"
To accommodate the increased interest, the museum is delighted to announce that their popular exhibit, "Level Up: Writers & Gamers," will remain open until November 2, 2025. This six-month extension offers visitors more chances to delve into the influence of game writing on storytelling and American culture.
In celebration of this extension, the AWM invites you to participate in "May the 4th Be With You Day" on May 4. In honor of the Star Wars-inspired day, all visitors will receive a $4 discount on general admission—no cosplay is necessary, though it's always welcome!Snap a photo at the special costume area and let your imagination run wild.
Grown-Up Book Fair
Bookworms unite! Indulge in the love of literature at the "Get Lit: Grown-Up Book Fair" on May 13 at 5:30 pm Central Time. Dave Barry's Life Story
On May 15 at 6:00 pm Central Time, "Class Clown" Pulitzer Prize winner Dave Barry will share anecdotes from his life at Chicago Hope Academy. Mark Bazer of The Interview Show on WTTW will conduct the conversation, and there will be a book signing session afterward. April Free Museum Day
Admission to the AWM is free on April 20 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Central Time. This includes access to all exhibits, including the extended "Level Up: Writers & Gamers." Younger visitors are encouraged to attend a special Little Squirrels Storytime at 11:30 am in the Children's Literature Gallery. No prior registration is needed. Simply stop by the AWM on April 20 to explore everything the museum offers at no cost[4].
Elie's Insight on Postsecularism
