Faculty Members of Park University Showcased in Campanella Gallery Art Display
The Campanella Gallery at Park University's Parkville Campus is currently hosting the "biennial faculty exhibit," showcasing a diverse range of artworks from various faculty members. The exhibit, which is free and open to the public, runs from Sunday, May 5, to Friday, May 10, 2024.
From Monday through Friday, the gallery is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with the exception of Saturday and Sunday when it is closed. On Sunday, May 5, the gallery extends its hours, opening from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Among the artists showcasing their works are Matthew Krawcheck, adjunct instructor of art, who presents abstract two-dimensional works using solvent transfer, gouache, and colored pencil. Krawcheck is also the artist behind the image "Hard Alee."
Andrea Lee, Ph.D., associate professor of fine art and director of the Campanella Gallery, showcases encaustic paintings with collage. Lynn Richardson, adjunct instructor of fine art, presents a triptych of "Notre Dame Burning" using graphite on paper.
Donna Bachmann, professor emerita of art and founder of the Campanella Gallery, exhibits mixed media assemblages, including her Secret Garden series. Merrick Henry, assistant teaching professor of graphic design, showcases digital designs, and Dora Agbas, adjunct instructor of art/fibers, presents fiber works with embroidered linen, encaustic wax, and paper with plant ephemera. William Eickhorst, Ed.D., former adjunct instructor of fine/visual art, showcases photography.
A reception for the artists will be held on Friday, March 29, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Gallery.
