Family-focused cinema, music, and entertainment spectacle proposed by Schönywood
From the 8th to the 11th of August, the castle courtyard in Schöningen will be transformed into an open-air cinema, offering a varied programme of films, music, and entertainment. The event, organised by Schönywood AG and the Helmstedter Kinos, promises an unforgettable experience for all.
The opening act on Friday, August 8, is the film "Better Man - The Robbie Williams Story". To set the tone, the school band of the Gymnasium Anna-Sophianeum will provide musical entertainment before the screening. On Saturday, August 9, the evening will be introduced musically by the band Das blaue Wunder, and before the film "Alter weißer Mann", the band "Limited Edition" will play live on stage.
On Sunday, August 10, a special highlight is the comedy "Alter weißer Mann". For the younger audience, Monday, August 11, is designated as Kids' Day, with the children's film "Lilo & Stitch" being shown. Children up to 12 years old will have free entry on this day, and an ice cream will be provided for each child by the association Guter Zweck.
Admission for adults on Monday, August 11, is eight euros per person and film. Visitors are kindly asked to bring their own seating for the open-air cinema, as the venue does not provide seating. Food and drinks can be purchased on site.
The event takes place in cooperation with numerous local partners, including the city of Schöningen, Volksbank eG, the Landwind Group, Sport-Thieme, the Landkreis Helmstedt, and the Autohaus Seydel. On Monday, August 11, Christian & DJ Bernd will provide additional entertainment with games and fun.
For the most accurate and up-to-date schedule, we recommend checking local Schöningen event listings, municipal websites, or contacting the cinema organiser directly closer to the event dates. We hope to see you there for a week of unforgettable entertainment!
The event, organised by Schönywood AG and the Helmstedter Kinos, is not limited to films; it also includes music and entertainment. Furthermore, on Kids' Day, there will be home-and-garden themed activities alongside the children's film "Lilo & Stitch".
