New Greek Restaurant in Hasseldelle: A Fresh Chapter for a Beloved Eatery

Hasseldelle’s culinary landscape is set to undergo a delightful transformation as a beloved restaurant prepares for a new beginning. The new leadership, the Kyziridis couple, will introduce a Greek twist to the establishment, which has been a popular meeting place for locals and regular guests.

New Leadership and a Fresh Direction

Marina (39) and Konstantinos (49) Kyziridis, renowned for their gastronomic experience, are the new faces at the helm of the restaurant in Hasseldelle. The couple, who have been running 'Alten Brunnen' on Schlagbaumer Street for the last five years, are excited to bring their passion for Greek cuisine to the community.

Marina, with over 23 years of kitchen experience, will manage the restaurant, ensuring that the menu remains authentic and true to traditional Greek flavors. The dining room, seating about 40 guests, and the terrace, available during summer, will provide a warm and inviting atmosphere for patrons.

Menu Enhancements and a Focus on Greek Cuisine

The Kyziridis couple plans to elevate the restaurant's offerings by focusing on Greek cuisine. The menu will feature more lamb, grilled fish, beef, chicken, and venison dishes, as well as a selection of Greek wines, ouzo, and freshly brewed Greek coffee.

To accommodate the new direction, the kitchen will be equipped with a new grill, ensuring that every dish is cooked to perfection. Staples of Greek cuisine, such as Tzatziki with freshly baked pita, Dolmades (stuffed grape leaves), and Spanakopita (spinach and feta phyllo pie), will be joined by modern twists on classic dishes.

Expanding Services and Delivering Authentic Greek Tastes

Understanding the growing demand for convenient dining, the new leaders aim to establish a delivery service, not just for Hasseldelle, but for the surrounding areas as well. Customers can look forward to enjoying authentic Greek dishes in the comfort of their homes.

The restaurant's adjacent hall, part of the "Wir in der Hasseldelle" association, will be available for larger events, providing ample space for celebrations and gatherings. The establishment's two bowling alleys in the basement, accommodating up to 30 people, will continue to serve as a popular spot for bowling clubs and regular guests.

A Bright Future Ahead

The Kyziridis couple's second venture in Hasseldelle is expected to open its doors by January 1st, bringing a fresh and exciting chapter to the city's dining scene. With their dedication to authenticity, quality, and customer satisfaction, Opa Taverna is set to become a beloved destination for Greek cuisine enthusiasts and newcomers alike.
