Meet Tinkerbell: From Feral Colony to Forever Home
Feral Cats' Haven: The Tale of Tinkerbell
Ever heard about Tinkerbell? Let's dive into her remarkable journey! Initially, Tinkerbell was part of a feral colony, cared for by a compassionate rescuer who TNRs all the cats in her colonies.
Tinkerbell's story took a turn when our team at Feral Paws Rescue stepped in. A discussion with a fellow animal rescue found that Tinkerbell, unlike other feral cats, could change her behavior. Thus, she was deemed a permanent resident at our refuge, free to roam in our securely fenced 6-acre property.
Now, Tinkerbell has been with us for over a year and has become an integral part of our community. Stray cats might run away from you, but not Tinkerbell! She approaches you, ready to chat about her day - or so it's said! Remember, you're building a bond for life, so be polite and affable.
Visitors to our rescue are advised: don't handle roaming cats without collars, for they are part-feral. Collared cats, though, are friendly and can be handled, but they might not be suitable for adoption for certain reasons.
Many rescues might ignore the individual needs of each cat, but at Feral Paws, we believe each life deserves a forever home, whether it's here at our non-kill sanctuary or with a loving family. Feral cats didn't ask to be abandoned on the streets. We hope and pray for a more informed public in the future.
