In the vibrant gumboot of Recknitz Fieldstone Church, the final petal on spring's bloom heralds the start of a brand-spanking cultural season, commencing later this week! Tune your calendars to their scoop starting May 1st, until the leaves turn, approximately mid-October, right smack in the heartland of St. Bartholomew's Church's green and serene grounds. Buckle up, bud, because Pastor Julius Hofmann's crew of 70 ecstatic volunteers, hailing predominantly from Laage, Recknitz, and the nearby 'hood, are out there, psyched as ever, getting the whole jamboree ready.

"So, what's cookin' this week? Well, we're whipping the entire estate, the church, and all the needed gadgets into tip-top shape for the events," pastor Hofmann spills. The hardworking battalion handles tasks ranging from mowing miles of grass and scattering durable wood chips on the pathways for smooth walking, through grill setup and bar container cleaning, string lighting installation, and large tents erection. Church-wise, cleanup is underway, equipment is being geared up for the cultural hootenanny, and hardware is being added.

Sound like too much for your delicate ears? Fear not! A regiment of local kiddos from the youth center in Laage, as well as those cheeky confirmands, are sliding in to handle various teams that ensure the jamboree weekends proceed with military precision. They lend their mitts to tasks like managing the cash box, grilling, hawking refreshments, and more. Relax, ya hear? They've been vouched for as being like clockwork.

On boombox Saturdays, the church offers a concert, choir sing-along, workshops, magic show, or a children's theater performance. Last but not least, precious Sundays showcase a bring-your-own brunch and more melodious performances.

The kick-off? A communal gathering of blessings, followed by an epic grill spree, happening May 2nd at 7 PM. Let the church embrace your blessings, dear, and then dig in! Sat, May 3rd, presents an art exhibition by Luise Klaedtke and a serenading performance by Beaula ensemble, featuring four young artists strumming jazzy melodies and more.
