The LEGO club at Bookholzberg Primary School, open to children in grades one to four, is a vibrant hub of creativity and learning, thanks to the support of the Ganderkesee Citizens' Foundation. This partnership has enabled the club to organise engaging activities and projects that foster the children's skills in building and teamwork.

One such initiative is the upcoming "Brick-tacular" exhibition, taking place at the INN-tegrativ multi-purpose hall, Apfelallee 1, on October 21 and 22. This event aims to highlight the ingenuity and hard work of the children, offering families and the community a chance to see the impressive models built by the club members.

The LEGO club, initiated by Katja Wille, the social pedagogue of the Ganderkesee school association, has been a beacon of inclusion, welcoming children from various language backgrounds, including Syria, Romania, Iraq, and Poland. The club also provides a supportive environment for those who may face language barriers, allowing them to exchange ideas through shared play.

The "Brick-tacular" exhibition will feature the creations of 13 students from Dürer Street primary school and 12 students from Bookholzberg primary school. The theme for this year's exhibition is "Enchanted Forest of Cultures".

Financial contributions for the LEGO club can be made through the Ganderkesee Citizens' Foundation's website, www.buergerstiftung-ganderkesee.de. Additionally, LEGO donations can be dropped off directly at the primary schools.

Marit Menninger's exhibition "Brick-tacular" is a regular part of the LEGO club. Marit, who expressed joy at seeing young and old come together at the event, has also donated an additional 10 kilos of LEGO bricks for the club.

The LEGO club's motto, developed collaboratively with the students, encourages the children to let their imagination run wild. The club has received a total of 65 kilos of bricks from the Ganderkesee Citizens' Foundation, which has been instrumental in the club's success.

For more specific information about upcoming exhibitions or how to get involved, contacting Bookholzberg Primary School or the Ganderkesee Citizens' Foundation directly is recommended. The age range of exhibitors at the "Brick-tacular" exhibition is between six and 76 years, making it a truly intergenerational event.

The LEGO club organizes events that not only showcase the creativity of children but also provide a platform for the community to appreciate their hard work, such as the upcoming "Brick-tacular" exhibition featuring the creations of students from both Dürer Street and Bookholzberg primary schools under the theme "Enchanted Forest of Cultures". For those interested in supporting the club financially, donations can be made through the Ganderkesee Citizens' Foundation's website, and LEGO donations can be dropped off directly at the primary schools. Furthermore, the club's motto, fostering imagination in its members, is a testament to the fashion-and-beauty and home-and-garden aspects of their lifestyle, creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all.
