Gathering with scouts at Windsor Castle - Gathering at Windsor Castle with the Boy Scouts
In a historic visit to Windsor Castle, former U.S. President Donald Trump and his wife Melania were warmly welcomed by the British royals. The meeting, which took place on Thursday, was a highlight of Trump's recent trip to the UK.
Upon arrival at Chequers, Trump travelled to Windsor Castle by helicopter Marine One. The meeting itself took place in the Frogmore Gardens of Windsor Castle, where the atmosphere seemed friendly and cordial.
During the encounter, Princess Kate and Melania Trump appeared relaxed and at ease, joking with each other and Melania smiling often. The Duchess of Cambridge was dressed in a forest green suede jacket, brown skirt, and scarf, with knee-high brown boots, while Melania wore a light suede jacket with white pants and flat pumps.
The hosts of the meeting were King Charles III and Queen Camilla, with Princess Kate and Prince William initially greeting Donald and Melania Trump and then accompanying them to the King and Queen who were waiting at the castle entrance.
A picnic was held in the garden during the meeting, and the group was joined by a group of Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts aged 4 to 5. Scout chief Dwayne Fields welcomed Kate and Melania and introduced them to the present Scout group. Melania even received a Scout scarf from chief scout Fields.
In a surprising turn of events, Melania Trump seemed to have broken the unwritten royal dress code the evening before by wearing a strapless, bright yellow gown. However, for this meeting, she opted for a more conservative outfit.
Queen Camilla and Melania Trump later toured the castle library, and Melania gave out honey from the White House as a gift. The meeting was reported by several media outlets, including the British 'Daily Mail.'
Princess Kate has been president of the Scout Association in the UK since 2020, alongside the Duke of Kent (89). During her official engagement, Kate was also spotted building an insect hotel and painting pictures with the children. The group also had the opportunity to see the legendary dollhouse 'Queen Mary's Dolls' House.'
Meanwhile, Donald Trump met with British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer at Chequers. The details of their discussion remain undisclosed.
This royal visit marked a significant moment in the relationship between the UK and the U.S., offering a glimpse into the friendly dynamics between the two nations' leaders.
