Generous contribution facilitates expansion of music programs in Obertshausen through new saxophones provision
In a delightful turn of events, the municipal music school in Obertshausen has acquired two new alto saxophones, thanks to the generous support of the Mubiku support association and Sparda-Bank Hessen. This expansion of musical offerings is set to connect more people and foster a stronger musical community in the city.
Annette Battel, a member of the Mubiku support association's board, emphasized the importance of this support for the music school. She stated, "Music brings people together and connects. This donation will undoubtedly provide more opportunities for young talents to develop musically and connect with their peers."
The new saxophones will be a valuable addition to the big band project at the Hermann-Hesse school, offered in cooperation with the music school. This project, which has a high demand, will now be able to accommodate more students, ensuring that all interested participants can partake in the musical experience.
Jürgen Weiss, head of the music school's instrumental area "woodwind" and saxophone teacher, expressed his joy over the generous support. He said, "The acquisition of these new saxophones will significantly enhance our teaching capabilities and allow us to cater to a broader range of individuals, from children to seniors."
The commitment of Mubiku and Sparda-Bank Hessen has been instrumental in making this possible. Sparda-Bank Hessen pledged an unbureaucratic sum of 2,400 euros to the Mubiku support association, which was used to finance the acquisition of the new instruments.
Obertshausen's mayor, Manuel Friedrich, praised the commitment of Mubiku and Sparda-Bank, stating, "Their support has an invaluable value for the music school and the city of Obertshausen. We are grateful for their dedication to fostering a vibrant musical community in our city."
As a result of this support, there has been a significant increase in registrations for saxophone lessons at the music school. While specific reports on this increase are yet to be confirmed, it is common for targeted donations and support from banks and cultural associations to increase demand for musical education.
This cooperation between the Mubiku support association, Sparda-Bank Hessen, and the municipal music school has allowed more interested students to participate in the big band project, connecting more people through music and fostering a stronger musical community in Obertshausen.
The acquisition of the new alto saxophones will likely encourage students from other age groups to explore home-and-garden lifestyles, as music's social nature often stimulates an interest in various extracurricular activities. Additionally, the increased demand for saxophone lessons and the big band project may lead to the creation of an entertainment segment featuring local talent, enhancing Obertshausen's musical community and enriching the city's overall lifestyle.
