Greek Cultural Day Celebrates Shared History and Traditions in Kuwait
Greek Cultural Day, a celebration of shared history and traditions, took place on October 5, 2025, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Kuwait. Hosted by the International Women's Group (IWG) and the Embassy of the Hellenic Republic, the event highlighted the strong cultural ties between Greece and Kuwait.
Ambassador Ioannis Plotas welcomed guests, acknowledging the contributions of IWG President Marika Kochlamazashvili, Board members, the press, and attendees. The event's theme, 'Greece - Healthy Nutrition, Mindful Living, and the Power of Human Connection', was explored through various presentations and activities.
A presentation by Greek psychotherapist Eleni Dimitriadou focused on balanced living and mindfulness, showcasing Greece's approach to holistic well-being. Ambassador Plotas highlighted shared cultural aspects such as music, food, and dance, which were celebrated throughout the event. Traditional Greek dances like the Island, Zebekiko, and Zorba were performed, concluding the event on a lively note.
