New Host Arabella Kiesbauer Takes Over "Bares für Rares" Austria on Puls 4

Starting this fall, a new era begins for the popular Austrian TV show "Bares für Rares". After several successful years on ServusTV, hosted by Willi Gabalier, the show is moving to Puls 4 and Joyn, with prominent Austrian TV presenter Arabella Kiesbauer taking over as host.

Kiesbauer, originally from Vienna, brings extensive television experience to the role, having worked in the industry for many years. In her new position, she will guide sellers through the process of having their items appraised by experts and then negotiating with dealers to sell their treasures.

The new host expressed her enthusiasm for the show, emphasizing her interest in the unique stories behind each item brought in by participants, be it heirlooms, attic finds, or collector's items. She describes the show as a "cult format" and is excited to accompany sellers on their journey to the traders' room.

Kiesbauer's husband has put a buying ban on her due to lack of space, but she hopes this ban will be lifted now that she can offer items on "Bares für Rares Austria". She even joked about potentially selling her collected items, such as old radios and coffee grinders, on the show.

Horst Lichter, the host of the original "Bares für Rares" show, has been leading the programme with charm, wit, and spirit for several years. Kiesbauer admires his hosting style and hopes to emulate his success in the Austrian version.
