Industry Event Explores Sustainable Development in Freiburg
On October 1st, the 'Industry - Future - Site Management' event took place at the Kreativpark Lokhalle Freiburg. This gathering, part of the 'Intermunicipal Industrial Site Management Region Freiburg' project, explored sustainable industrial development. Around 70 attendees from politics, administration, business, and companies participated.
The event featured a panel discussion delving into the opportunities and challenges of sustainable industrial development. Practical examples from Freiburg and Esslingen showcased concrete solutions for this goal. The Association of the Southern Upper Rhine Region (VRSO) and the Economic Development Agency of the Region Freiburg (WRF) organized the event.
State Secretary Andrea Lindlohr, in her keynote, stressed the importance of area-efficient development and opportunities in existing locations. The municipalities of Emmendingen, Freiburg, Heitersheim, Neuenburg, and Staufen are involved in the project, funded by the state of Baden-Württemberg.
The central conclusion of the 'Industry - Future - Site Management' event was the necessity of joint action and networking to better utilize areas and make industrial locations future-proof. Around 70 representatives from various sectors attended, indicating the event's significance and the region's commitment to sustainable industrial development.
