Krasnodar city finishes upgrading Dubinsky Square renovation
In the heart of Krasnodar's Central District, between Shevchenko and Kovytyukh streets and Konstantinovsky Lane, lies Dubinsky Park. This public space has undergone a significant transformation, thanks to the efforts of local residents and the "small deeds" program.
Prior to the renovation, children living in private houses in the Central District had limited options for play and sports activities, and mothers with strollers, as well as elderly residents, found it challenging to enjoy a leisurely walk in the fresh air. However, the renovation has addressed these issues, making Dubinsky Park a suitable location for all.
The transformation includes the installation of new play equipment, twenty-one trash cans, and seventeen benches, ensuring a comfortable and clean environment for visitors. To enhance the aesthetic appeal, twenty-three lampposts have been added, providing ample lighting during evenings.
Elena Malova, head of the Central District administration, has emphasised the significance of Dubinsky Park as the only green zone for the district's residents. The park's pedestrian paths have been paved with paving stones and bordered with curbs, further improving its appeal.
Meanwhile, within the "small deeds" program, the beautification of Vatutin Park in the Western District is ongoing. Although specific details about the Krasnodar "small deeds" program related to the improvements of Dubinsky and Vatutin Parks are scarce, it is common knowledge that city authorities often run local improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing public spaces. These projects typically involve activities such as planting greenery, repairing benches or paths, improving lighting, or adding playground equipment. Plans for Vatutin Park include the construction of a sidewalk, installation of children's and sports equipment, and the arrangement of a parking area.
With the renovation of Dubinsky Park, the Central District of Krasnodar now boasts a revitalised and family-friendly park, providing a perfect spot for children, mothers, and elderly residents to play, engage in sports, walk, and enjoy the fresh air.
