Ludwigslust's flower garden will be unveiled in May by the local authorities.
Getting ready to bloom! Ludwigslust Palace Park's flower garden is back for everyone to enjoy! And if you're thinking about popping the question, you can do it in style at the tea pavilion, according to Kathrin Siegert, spokesperson for the "State Palaces, Gardens and Cultural Collections Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (SSGK)" agency.
A Pricey Safety Overhaul
Siegert added, "We recently had around 20 costly traffic safety measures in this area of the park, including the use of rope climbers. Thankfully, those works are now finished. Unfortunately, we couldn't save the unique blood beech—its roots were so badly rotted by fungus that the tree's stability was compromised. The remains will be taken down in winter, and we'll plant a new blood beech in its place."
The City's Joyous Response
The Ludwigslust city administration is thrilled about this month's reopening of this significant part of the palace park. There's been a growing push in the city to end the extensive park closures. SSGK continued to argue for essential safety measures to protect the trees at risk of collapsing. Nonetheless, plenty of the vast palace park will still be closed off even after the flower garden opens.
Remember, while there won't be any extensive checks or roped-off areas for now, safety always comes first in Ludwigslust Palace Park. So, double-check the official website or contact the park directly for the most accurate information on opening hours. Enjoy the blooming gardens and your special moments there!
