Starting from May 15, visitors to Travemünde Beach can enjoy a more convenient and contactless experience with the introduction of the EasyPark app for beach pass payments. This new service eliminates the need for cash transactions or physical tickets, streamlining access to the popular beach destination.
The EasyPark app, which is available for free in all major app stores without registration, now offers online payment for beach passes in Travemünde. To use the service, users simply need to select the relevant beach or parking zone within the EasyPark app, start a parking session or purchase through the app, pay securely via credit card or other digital payment options linked to the app, and receive confirmation and a digital ticket or receipt in the app.
This method of payment is similar to how EasyPark facilitates parking payments in other German locations, where users simply pay via the app when entering or parking in a paid area. The app uses GPS or a zone number to identify the location, making the process easy and straightforward.
In addition to the beach pass, users can also book a parking ticket together using the parking zone number displayed on the machine. Those traveling to the beach by bicycle, bus, or train can obtain the beach pass separately.
Travemünde's tourism director, Uwe Kirchhoff, is delighted with the new service, stating that it will make the beach experience more convenient and enjoyable for visitors. With the EasyPark app, there is no need to search for change for the machines, as payment is made online. Payment options include online banking, Apple Pay, or PayPal.
Active parking tickets and beach passes are displayed in the EasyPark app as proof for inspection. The EasyPark app also allows booking a beach pass separately using the beach zone number from the beach pass machine. This means that users can book both the parking ticket and beach pass together in the EasyPark app, making it even easier to plan and pay for their beach visit.
