New Children's Book 'The Mysterious Sea' Dives into Busch's History
A new children's book, 'The Mysterious Sea', is set to captivate young minds in Busch. The book, funded by the Sparkassenstiftung in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss, is a time-travel adventure through Busch's history, featuring characters Mia and Ben. Around 5,500 copies have been printed and will be distributed free to kindergartens and elementary schools. Notably, the book has been translated into four languages for distribution in Busch's partner cities: Fouesnant in France, Shijōnawate in Japan, Wittenberge, and Blankenburg in Germany.
The book covers fascinating topics such as the Roman landscape, the medieval monastery Meer, and the Theater of the Forum Wasserturm. It also delves into the origin of Busch's name, providing an engaging and educational journey through time. To celebrate the book's launch, a painting competition based on its story is being held for Buscher elementary schools. The winning paintings will be exhibited at the Sparkassen branch in Meebusch-Buederich, with an award ceremony attended by Mayor Christian Bommers. The book is a gift and will not be available for purchase, fostering a love for history and culture among the young readers of Busch and its partner cities.
The publication of 'The Mysterious Sea' is more than just a book launch; it's a celebration of Busch's history and culture. Through this initiative, the Sparkassenstiftung aims to inspire young readers, both in Busch and its partner cities, to explore and appreciate their shared heritage.
