New York Times Quiz Grants 'Full New Yorker' Status at 18+

The New York Times has introduced a quizlet to differentiate genuine New Yorkers from newcomers. The test covers the city's history, notable residents, and famed pizzerias, with a score of 18 or above granting 'full New Yorker status'.

The quiz, created to highlight the unique norms of the city, consists of 25 questions. Scoring lower earns the title 'New Yorker in training', indicating a basic understanding of city etiquette. Meanwhile, a perfect score suggests the participant should consider running for mayor.

To truly blend in with locals, knowing 40 things New Yorkers would never say is essential. For instance, one might learn that mispronouncing street names or walking too slowly can lead to the revocation of one's 'New York' status. The quiz is designed to help participants navigate these unspoken rules.
