The Flowery Expands to the East Village: A New Cannabis Dispensary Led by Long-Time Resident Sean Maguire

Sean Maguire, a long-time East Village resident and hospitality entrepreneur, is running The Flowery's new cannabis dispensary in the East Village, New York City. The Flowery's East Village location is the company's eighth store in New York City.

Maguire's background includes owning several local bars and restaurants, such as 310 Bowery, Downtime, and Eastpoint, and serving as Food & Beverage Director at Spartan Race. His transition into the cannabis industry is a natural evolution, applying his hospitality experience to create a welcoming community-focused retail environment.

At The Flowery East Village, Maguire emphasizes a “service-first” philosophy and aims to provide an elevated buying experience tailored to customers' needs. The dispensary sells a diverse range of cannabis products, including flower, prerolls, gummies, concentrates, vaporizers, and tinctures.

Customers at The Flowery will be led through the buying experience by staff who will work with them to find the best product based on their interests. Maguire encourages everyone, whether they buy or not, to visit The Flowery and say hello.

The store celebrated its grand opening on Aug. 2, featuring brand activations and pop-ups for the public. Located at 101 East 10th St., The Flowery's East Village store is easily accessible for both locals and visitors.

Maguire is hands-on in managing the store, often being seen cleaning and maintaining the storefront. He also encourages staff to walk customers around the store, show them all the options, and have detailed conversations to understand customer needs and match them with the appropriate product. Maguire emphasizes that they have a good mix of products to cater to diverse customer needs.

With a large network within the East Village community, Maguire plans to leverage these connections to introduce himself to more people in the area. He hopes that The Flowery can host educational and community events in the future. The Flowery's East Village store features visual aids such as bud TVs and a microscope to help customers examine the products.
