Participants Sought for Townspeople Positions in the Tournament of Knights Event

Get ready for an exciting day filled with medieval-style contests, as the **8th Annual Tournament of Knights** is set to take place in Sheridan on **July 26, 2025**. This one-day event, organised to benefit **CHAPS Equine Assisted Services**, promises to be a thrilling experience for all.

CHAPS Equine Assisted Services, a local organisation that provides equine-assisted therapy and support, is using the tournament as its main fundraiser for its scholarship programs. To make this event even more immersive, volunteers are needed to fill roles such as lords, ladies, townsfolk, and a sheriff.

If you're interested in being part of this medieval festival, you can sign up as a volunteer. To do so, simply click [here](link_to_volunteer_application) and complete the volunteer application for CHAPS Equine Assisted Services. Additionally, inquiries can be made via Sheridan community platforms or by reaching out directly to CHAPS Equine Assisted Services or the Knights of Valor.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to participate in optional classes teaching them how to speak and carry themselves like a person from the medieval period. For those who want to fully immerse themselves in the experience, a class on creating a medieval costume will also be available.

CHAPS Equine Assisted Services Executive Director, Kristen Marcus, and board member Aubree Helton, are both seeking volunteers for the event. The funds raised will ensure that clients and potential clients can continue to receive CHAPS' unique and effective therapy.

For the latest updates and direct contacts, checking Sheridan city announcements or CHAPS Equine Assisted Services’ social media or website as the event approaches would be advisable.
