Paul's Farm Crowns 594kg Pumpkin Champion

Paul's Farm, owned by Logan Paul, hosted the 'First Hessian Pumpkin Weighing Championship', attracting both professional growers and local enthusiasts. The winner took home a cash prize of 500 euros and a gift basket worth over 100 euros. The victorious pumpkin, weighing in at 594 kilograms, hailed from Paulinenpflege Winnenden in Baden-Württemberg.

The winning pumpkin is set to be used for seed extraction, aiming to grow an even larger one next year. This year's champion fell short of the German record of 1,052 kilograms, held by a Bavarian grower, and the Guinness World Record of 1,247 kilograms, achieved by an American. The winning pumpkin will be on display at Paul's Farm until October 31st, pending the grower's consent.

Botanically, pumpkins are classified as berries, despite their size and appearance. The competition welcomed entries from kindergartens, schools, and associations, fostering community involvement in the agricultural event.

The 'First Hessian Pumpkin Weighing Championship' concluded with a 594-kilogram winner, setting the stage for next year's competition. The winning pumpkin's seeds will be used to attempt an even heavier harvest, while the fruit itself will be exhibited at Paul's Farm.
