Pet Food Industry Lagging in Sustainability, But These Companies Lead the Way

A recent LinkedIn poll reveals that 51.3% of respondents believe the pet food industry is lagging in sustainability efforts. Despite this, several companies are making strides in this area.

Leading the pack are Wolf Of Wilderness, recognised for its ethical sourcing and dedication to sustainability, Alpenwuff, a family-run business focusing on hypoallergenic and sustainable insect-based and organic pet food, and Vutter, which produces vegan pet food aiming to expand production for a greater sustainability impact.

The shift towards sustainability is evident throughout the pet food production cycle, from the selection of ingredients to processing methods and packaging materials.

While the pet food industry faces criticism for not keeping pace with sustainability trends, companies like Wolf Of Wilderness, Alpenwuff, and Vutter are demonstrating commitment and progress in this area.
