Feuersee Festival Delights Stuttgart's West
The Feuersee neighborhood festival in Stuttgart's west is a lively local event that celebrates community life around the Feuersee area. Known for its vibrant atmosphere and diverse offerings, the festival is a must-visit for both residents and tourists.
The festival is typically characterised by music, food, and cultural activities that bring together locals and visitors. It features a variety of stands offering delicious food and drinks, live music performances, and opportunities for socialising and community engagement. This year, the festival has a new addition - the "Pina Cabana", which made its debut at the Feuersee festival.
The Pina Cabana, founded by Valentin Kienel and his business partner about a year ago, offers a unique twist on the classic Pina Colada. The drinks are served in hollowed-out, halved pineapple shells, adding a tropical touch to the festival atmosphere.
Alejandro Royero's stall, "El Amigo", offers a taste of Latin America with its selection of arepas and other Latin American street food. The MTV Stuttgart has also been a regular participant at the festival for several years, often contributing to the lively music scene.
One of the popular attractions at the festival is the Hosenboje, a maritime rescue device repurposed for recreational use. Children can enjoy a ride on the Hosenboje for just one euro, while over 260 rides were counted within four hours on Friday alone. The Hosenboje rides are overseen by Oliver Ziegler, a sports teacher.
The Henkersfest, a part of the festival, offers guests the opportunity to join a guided tour of the old town theater or watch acrobatic performances by the trio "Floor LegendZ". Despite the weather, the Henkersfest has been a hit this year.
The Feuersee festival, organised by the Verein Rosenau Kultur e.V. for the thirteenth time, offers attractions for all age groups. The festival takes place in the old town, a change from its usual location at the Wilhelmsplatz. With its mix of flea market vibrancy, live entertainment, culinary delights, and the chance to experience the local lifestyle within Stuttgart’s western quarters, the Feuersee festival is a great way to immerse oneself in the city's culture and spirit.
