Redesigned, Contemporary Farmhouse Dining Table
In a recent move, I found myself in need of a new dining table to fit my new space. My previous table, an X Brace Farmhouse Table, was simply too long and narrow for the room. So, I decided to take on the exciting challenge of building my own Modern Farmhouse Dining Room Table.
For this project, I've gathered a few essential tools and materials. A Ryobi Miter Saw and Ryobi Drill are crucial for precise cuts and drilling. A Ryobi Orbital Sander, along with sandpaper, will help smooth out the surfaces. A Square and Tape Measure are indispensable for ensuring accuracy in measurements. To make the project even easier for beginners, I recommend using a Kreg Jig for joining the pieces together.
The cost of lumber for this project is under $65, making it an affordable DIY project. For the lumber, I need two 2x4x120" pieces, three 2x12x96" pieces, and two 4x4x96" untreated lumber pieces.
I've found the detailed plans for this project on Buildsomething.com, which offers an online community with various free building plans. If you're looking for comprehensive step-by-step instructions, including materials and tools needed, this is the place to go. The plans cover cutting, joining, and finishing the table, providing a clear guide for the entire project.
