Rohrbach Kahlenberg Friends' Summer Festival Delights Visitors
The Rohrbach Kahlenberg Friends' annual summer festival, held in the picturesque district of Heidelberg, was a resounding success this year. The two-day event took place on July 22nd and 23rd, 2023, under the warm embrace of two days of sunshine.
The festival was a delightful mix of local traditions and modern entertainment. Younger visitors had a blast on the soccer field and trampoline, while adults indulged in a selection of homemade cakes and fresh coffee. A variety of food and drinks were available for guests, ensuring everyone's taste buds were catered for.
Live music was a highlight of the festival. On Saturday evening, the Bluesbuwe band graced the stage for their first performance at the event. Their energetic tunes set the mood for the rest of the evening. Sunday morning saw the Laabtal musicians take centre stage as the day's musical highlight.
The Rohrbach Kahlenberg Friends expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all the helpers, acknowledging their crucial role in the success of the event. Notable guests included Markus Uhl, a member of the German Bundestag, who served as the festival's patron and opened it on Saturday evening. Esra Limbacher, another member of the German Bundestag, also visited the festival on Sunday. Both Uhl and Limbacher are supporters of the Rohrbach Kahlenberg Friends and have contributed to the club's success through their donations.
