Rhön Club Hünfeld is hiking along the Panorama High Trail Dahlherda on the 13th of July, 25th.
The Rhön Club Branch Association Hünfeld is inviting hikers to join them on a scenic trek along the Panorama Ridge Trail Dahlherda, scheduled for Sunday, July 13, 2025.
The hike, which is approximately 12 kilometers long, will start at the Wacholderhütte near Dahlherda at 10:00 AM. The trail will be expertly guided by Linus and Anita Steinwachs. Participants are expected to bring their own backpack food for the hike.
The route of the hike includes the Schluppberg, known for its beautiful hiking meadows, and the Dalherdakuppe (800.6 m above sea level), offering unique views of the Dammersfeld, the Rhön, and the Fulda region. The trail's highlight, the Dalherdakuppe, also features the "Kuppenmannchen," a distinctive landmark.
While the specifics of the route and difficulty level of this particular hike were not provided, it is important to note that the Panorama Ridge Trail in British Columbia, Canada, is known for its challenging nature due to steep inclines and long distances, making it suitable for experienced hikers.
The hike will conclude with a final gathering in Gersfeld. For more details or to report any issues, contact Linus Steinwachs by landline at 06672-7301, or by mobile at 0160 6036949, or Anita Steinwachs by mobile at 015153280040.
Hikers are advised to meet at the Unsben parking lot / Landerneauallee at 9:00 AM on the day of the event. Ensure you have appropriate hiking gear, including sturdy boots, layers for changing weather, and enough water and snacks. Always check the weather forecast and trail conditions before heading out.
Overnight camping requires a permit, which can be booked through the BC Parks website if the hike is taking place in the original Panorama Ridge Trail location. For more information on trail conditions and advisories, contact the Garibaldi Provincial Park authorities or visit the BC Parks website.
During the hike, participants are encouraged to appreciate the picturesque outdoor-living environment, with stops at the Schluppberg's hiking meadows and the Dalherdakuppe, which offers a stunning home-and-garden-like panorama of the surrounding Dammersfeld, Rhön, and Fulda region. After the hike, hikers can gather in Gersfeld for final discussions.
