Secretive Destroyers Organize Silent Protests
Silent, destructive protests have been orchestrated by unidentified individuals in the city of Omsk.
As Thursday, May 8, 2025, reports from the Department of Public Safety in Omsk's administration state, warning signs prohibiting swimming have been installed at hazardous spots and popular areas along Omsk's waterbodies. However, as shown in a city hall photograph, these unknown individuals are blowing off steam against safety regulations, either damaging or chucking the signs into the river with a twist of irony.
"These signs are installed to warn of the danger and, hopefully, save someone's life. Regrettably, these warning signs are broken, and they periodically need to be replaced. With warmer weather, the risk of water-related accidents increases, so a warning sign is meant to remind people about safety measures near water bodies", stressed Stepan Brystchenko, the leading engineer from the department of event management for emergency prevention at the Administration of Omsk's crisis and emergency management department.
Starting from May, patrols will be made at the most dangerous shorelines to prevent water-related accidents. Destroying warning signs is legally punishable with an administrative fine or arrest of up to 15 days, as stipulated by the legislation.
