Secrets hidden within aging structures
Rhein-Kreis Neuss: A Historical Technology Center
Celebrating its 50th anniversary, Rhein-Kreis Neuss' focus in a recent press release highlights the Technologiezentrum Glehn (TZG). Established in 1867 in the present-day Korschenbroich district of Glehn, this modern tech center originally served as a monastery but later transitioned into a hospital, a retirement home, and eventually its current role. Delve deeper into its storied past and present purposes here.
For the past nearly 40 years, the Technologiezentrum Glehn GmbH (TZG) has sustained operations at this site, recognized as a certified training provider. It is the sole shareholder of Rhein-Kreis Neuss and controls the non-profit employment promotion company mbH Rhein-Kreis Neuss (bfg), a subsidiary of the TZG. The bfg's responsibility includes supporting, qualifying, and employing the unemployed and those at risk of unemployment, aiming to reintegrate them into the job market.
Raimund Franzen and Benjamin Joseph, both managing directors of TZG GmbH and the bfg, assert that the TZG's initial intent was to help individuals re-enter the labor market. Over time, they expanded offered educational programs for professional qualifications, while today providing professional further training and learning platforms. Primarily, they consult companies and institutions in the areas of consulting, with services tailored to their clients' specific needs.
More than 60 lecturers contribute to TZG GmbH's initiatives. Franzen and Joseph, with a team of 130 people, aim to prepare people for their future careers and guide companies through their digital transformation. "tzg consulting" offers individual consultations on various subjects, such as business foundation and coaching, IT, and digital transformation for companies.
The TZG resides at four locations: Glehn serves as the headquarters, while the business center in Neuss at Königstraße 45 provides contemporary office units with fully equipped meeting and conference rooms. The TZG academy in Kaarst-Büttgen specializes in further training in the field of care and digital competencies, and the TZG academy in Mönchengladbach-Rheydt offers coaching and further training.
Partnering with the HEX University of Excellence in Switzerland enables TZG academy courses to contribute to a university degree from HEX. The TZG has garnered a national reputation in the field of hygiene training, as its digital "infection protection training" is presently utilized by 147 health departments in Germany and is available in 26 languages, mandatory for those working with food.

In light of the TZG's expansion from a technological training center to a provider of professional qualifications, it is worth exploring the prospects of integrating home-and-garden lifestyle courses into their offerings. Such additions could potentially attract a broader audience, fostering a more well-rounded lifestyle center in Rhein-Kreis Neuss.
With TZG's existing success in expanding their services to include a wide range of educational programs, the introduction of home-and-garden lifestyle courses could serve as an exciting new dimension for the Technologiezentrum Glehn (TZG), reflecting a lifestyle and home-and-garden focus alongside their current tech-oriented programs.
