A Passionate Deep-Dive into Alexander Henry Fabrics
Stylish Textiles by Alexander Henry: A Collection of Inventive Patterns for Your Artistic Sewing Projects
Hey there, fellow creative soul! Dive into the enchanting world of Alexander Henry Fabrics, a renowned design house, part of the De Leon Design Group founded by Marc Senior, Phillip, and Nicole de Leon. This prestigious textile company is famous for their mind-blowing creations, showcasing designs we utterly adore - Frida Kahlo, Day of the Dead, Tattoos, and The Ghastlies, to name a few.
The Creative Process Behind the Art
To craft these fabulous, one-of-a-kind masterpieces, fabric production starts with a hand-painted illustration, giving each print an astounding artistic feel. Founder Paul has always cherished these prints, dating back to when he first set up shop three decades ago; he even visited Alexander Henry HQ in Burbeck, California, during a vacation with his family!
Our Top Alexander Henry Prints
The Ghastlies
We can't get enough of the Ghastlie Family. Inspired by Edward Gorey's drawings, this clan is full of characters—Sebastian the cat, Mathilde Ghastlie from A Ghastlie Craft, and her sons Garrick and Cassius. The Ghastlies' world constantly expands, with new additions like Ghantis Ghastlie, which features mermen, shipwrecks, and all sorts of magical lake creatures!

Mexicana Themed Fabrics
When it comes to our love for Alexander Henry fabrics, the Mexican-themed prints take top billing. Take the La Paloma print from their Folklorico collection, for example – a vibrant fabric that celebrates traditional Mexican elements, such as color, flavor, and music. You may have seen this utterly charming little girl's dress at our show booths throughout the years!
Frida Kahlo Designer Fabrics by Alexander Henry
No introduction needed here – Frida's Garden is simply one of our all-time favorite Alexander Henry prints. Available in three colors, with cream and black also available on a heavier weight canvas, this design is always among our top-sellers. Keep an eye out for our fabulous shift dress made from this sensational fabric – it's sure to steal the show!
Frida La Catrina's border print has also been a hit. Despite its border design, which some consider challenging due to intricate cutting requirements, this fabulous print demands attention and allows stunning details like Frida-inspired human hearts and her evolving depictions to shine brightly!
