Sylverberg's 'Fox Den' Kindergarten Group Thrives in Nature

Sylverberg kindergarten's newest group, the 'Fox News Den', has been thriving since its September launch. Led by Mayor Marc Herter, this unique forest group offers 15 children aged three to six a chance to learn and grow in nature.

The 'Fox News Den' group spends most of its time in the kindergarten's vast 10,000 square meter forest area. Here, children learn to navigate independently, take responsibility, and solve problems creatively. They also follow the motto 'Experience nature - learn life', guided by principles of forest pedagogy and Montessori pedagogy.

A mobile home, inaugurated by Mayor Marc Herter, serves as a protective space and shelter. It's used for meals, rest times, changing situations, and storing materials, especially on cold or rainy days. The pedagogical focus lies in sustainable development education (SDE).

The 'Fox News Den' group at Sylverberg kindergarten offers a distinctive learning experience. With its mobile home and forest-based activities, it fosters independence, responsibility, and creativity in young children.
