Transform abandoned public shower stalls in Milan into captivating Murano glass exhibits at 6:00 AM
In the heart of Milan during Design Week 2025, the historic Piscina Cozzi, a public pool designed by Luigi Secchi, was transformed into a vibrant exhibition space. The focus of this year's event at Piscina Cozzi was on the contemporary Murano glass brand, 6:AM Glass.
Founded by Edoardo Pandolfo and Francesco Palù in 2018, 6:AM Glass showcased their creative universe at the exhibition, 'Two-Fold Silence'. The installation was a captivating display of glass sculptures that appeared as if they were melting under invisible heat, blending artisanal virtuosity with innovative visual effects.
The approach to the exhibition was not systematic or overly curated but more like a stream of consciousness. Objects and ideas flowed naturally through the environment, interacting with the space and enhancing the sense of accidental discovery. The exhibition maintained the space intact, allowing it to contribute to the overall experience.
6:AM Glass brought together new works, prototypes, and restored historical pieces for the first solo exhibition by the brand. Some of these pieces were casually propped against the walls, while others were strategically placed to create a juxtaposition with the pool's grimy tiles and crumbling walls.
A series of chandeliers illuminated the corridors, with a wall-mounted cast Murano glass chandelier and a glass sculpture designed by Aldo Nason for Mazzega in the 1970s among the exhibited pieces. To further enhance the visitor's experience, Edoardo Pandolfo and Francesco Palù added a soundscape by Invernomuto.
