In the last four years, Chris and Lisa have been tireless pioneers, turning their dream of interconnected communities worldwide into a living reality. Their latest innovation for 2023? A corporate giving back platform. Their mission? Simple: to galvanize Australian workforces into action for charity, making volunteering days a fun, flexible, and fulfilling experience.
Digging for feedback from the community, they found that while many employees brimmed with desire to give back, they often lacked the know-how and resources to act on it. That's where OneAnother steps in, transforming the intention into action. Chris explains, "The enthusiasm to offer a helping hand isn't lacking amongst employees. Rather, it's the barriers to entry that create the obstacles. They aren't sure where to start, how to approach charities, or how to align their efforts with available volunteer opportunities."

OneAnother.io was born in 2020, during the impending global lockdowns. Lisa, then stranded in Spain with her son, managed to rally over 250 Aussies to develop this kindness marketplace, pooling an astounding 25,000 hours in donated time and $1 million in value.
Lisa says, "Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine the wave of support that would materialize when I reached out to the Sydney startup community. From a small seedling of an idea, it blossomed into a massive web of compassionate people. We united in a shared mission to offer assistance to others, many of whom were isolated and displaced themselves."
Over the past three years, the platform has grown steadily in Australia and recently underwent a brand overhaul in August 2023.
