View ABC's Earth Week 2025 broadcast on ABC, Hulu, and Disney platforms
In April, as part of The Walt Disney Company's ourHOME campaign, the ABC News Group is set to celebrate Earth Week with a series of impactful stories, features, and content.
Starting from Monday, April 21, ABC News' programming will delve into various aspects of sustainability, environmental activism, and the global movement towards a greener future.
"Good Morning America" and "GMA3" will shine a spotlight on the sustainable homes of the future, showcasing innovative constructions such as a 3D-printed house and apartment buildings made of Lego-like bricks. ABC News Digital will discuss how these technologies could potentially aid in resolving the housing crisis.
"Nightline" will air a special segment on Tuesday, April 22, to honour Earth Day, while "World News Tonight with David Muir" will report stories from the field to mark the occasion.
ABC News Digital will also investigate the innovative methods cities use to combat climate change and delve into the reasons for the delay in replanting trees after wildfires.
ABC News One provides news content and services for over 200 ABC affiliates and international news partners. During Earth Week, it will feature environmental reporting, weather updates, and related stories on ABC Audio newscasts and the Newscall service. Ginger Zee, ABC News' chief meteorologist and chief climate correspondent, will report live from Bahama, North Carolina, exploring how rock dust is being used to fertilize farms and combat climate change.
ABC News One will also have Ginger Zee reporting on expert opinions about making significant environmental changes and fighting human-amplified climate change.
ABC News Live, America's No. 1 streaming news channel, will highlight environmental stories for the duration of Earth Week.
The streaming special "Our Home: Local Action & Global Impact" on April 22 at 8:30 PM EDT features Greta Thunberg and discussions on climate change, environmental activism, and the global movement for sustainability.
ABC Owned Television Stations have coordinated ourHOME Earth Month coverage with original stories from across the country.
E-commerce editor Tory Johnson will share Earth Day-themed Deals & Steals.
